There are various issues recording lectures and presentations. The simplest situation is a single speaker at a lectern and the most complicated is multiple speakers who like to move around during the presentations. The other issue is a slideshow. The problem is getting the presenter and the slideshow in the correct exposure at the same time. The solution is to use 2 camcorders, one maned and focused on the presenter and the other unmanned camcorder focused on the slideshow screen. In the edit the 2 videos are synchronized. The advantage is that when the presenter points to an item on the screen (laser pointer) the editor can switch to the screen video.
